“ one of the better food establishments in the area imo & this was alw a go-to spot after sch :) staff is friendly, food is good & the restaurant has a quiet + cozy atmosphere. i think there was a lunch/ student deal which made the meals more affordable! missing this place & i hope to come back some time soon ”
“ Today was, unfortunately, quite disappointing. I’ve been living in the area and have been coming to PocoLoco for years—it’s always been one of my go-to spots. But today’s pastas were just nottt it. I’ve probably had the tagliatelle al ragu at least 7 or 8 times by now, and it’s always served a certain way: not too much sauce, well-balanced seasoning, proper toppings, and most importantly—the signature bone-in lamb. I always enjoy eating the meat off the bone. It’s nicer that way eh. This time - I got something that looked more like a Bolognese. Drenched in sauce, and the lamb came in sad little chunks—no bone in sight. I even asked the server if they got my order wrong, but he insisted this was it. No way. Either my memory’s failed me, or they’ve changed ownership / kitchen staff recently. Either way, siann. My partner had the Vongole Bianco, which also turned out bland. Usually, it’s light, garlicky, and comforting—but today it just tasted… flat. Today standby chef issit ”
“ got the manzo! sliced beef was slightly overcooked (it had a springy texture, quite hard to chew, but still alright) but still delicious, pasta was perfect! truffle smell was nice, not that strong and not that weak so it was perfect ^_^ the sauce was decadent, filled with flavor and oh-so-creamy! it’s wonderful however may get a bit jelak in the end (it’s either that or no flavor at all ) the prices for the pastas arent bad, but once you add in gst and service charge the bill will be quite high so be aware. atmosphere was nice and cozy. however although the servers were nice they kept staring and giving strange looks so it felt a bit awkward . overall its price tag is slightly higher, but would come back for its delicious pasta! ”
“ Been here multiple times and Manzo is my biggest favourite. Everytime I visit I will never fail to order Manzo with Ginger Ale as my beverage. My friend ordered Pesto Spaghetti (not pictured) and Aglio Olio (in picture). They loved it very much :) Staff were friendly and quick to help! Restaurant is clean and cozy, though not wheelchair friendly due to staircase within restaurant. I have to mention that their prices are extremely affordable within Upper Thomson and they also have fresh pasta option. I’m super impressed. ”
“ Wife and I had a quiet dinner at PocoLoco. Vegetarian choices are there. Jeffrey (5 star service) suggested various options, We had: Pane (hot Foccasia bread) Bruschetta (same Foccasia bread with toppings - didn’t realise it to be the same bread; would have chosen a different starter) Mushroom soup (thick, less salty, served in half portions ) Gnocchi (a bit too garlicky we felt) Spaghetti in pesto sauce + vegetables for extra $4) (Pasta was crisp and nice; would have liked a bit more sauce - a couple more spoons perhaps) Chocolate Lava + Vanilla ice cream (delicious) A quiet place with more than decent food. Service was non-intrusive and quick. Not that crowded for a Saturday evening; maybe people are still on NY vacations. Excellent addition to the neighbourhood. ”
“ This was one of our frequented family meal but it has become pricey now that it charges gst and service charge. A whopping 20% hike.. woah.. the various pasta, mushroom soup and calamari are still nice but for the price, don’t think it was that great anymore. Not sure I will come so frequently anymore. The salad is bad though… not enough dressing, pine nuts were rancid and burnt so destroyed the taste of the simple salad. The arugula is fresh though and a big bunch was given. ”
“ The pasta was average. Not much better than chain restaurants like Pastamania. The portion sizes are small. On the bright side, service was quick and reliable. Probably wouldn’t go again because of the food. ”
